My recent obsession with view on the albums on Amazon sales rankings gave me the idea for this post: four of my favorite albums of the 1990s, not currently selling 25,000 best albums in Amazon's top.
Olivia Tremor Control-dusk of Cubist Castle (# 49,389)
This spacious TASS psychedelic masterpiece by 1996 is strongly influenced by some of my favorite music of the 60's (the most obvious of the Beatles and the beach boys) is filled with catchy melodies and crazy arrangements. It's the kind of album where if it really hits you might see your favorite albums of all time.
Olivia Tremor Control - black foliage (# 149,970)
A further Olivia Tremor Control album? Black foliage is more see (see how much it is lower sales ranking is) as a Cubist Castle and 1999 has as well (if not better.)'s black foliage was Olivia Tremor control's 2nd album. She broke and a third one yet be released (although there are some rumors about a reunion and a 3rd album coming out sometime in the future.)
Cornershop - I for the 7th time (# 100,367 born what)
This was actually a bit of a hit when it came out 1997 (# 17 in the UK) mainly because of the individual "brimful of ASHA." But on this album the trippy instrumental jams are what I have always loved, such as "We are in yr corner."
Like you, by the current Amazon sales rank can see I seem in the minority in my strong love for this album to be.
Primal Scream - Screamadelica (# 44,596)
Primal Scream has almost as big here in the United States never as you about are in the UK and I think that's a real shame. Screamadelica, vanishing point and XTRMNTR are all under my favorite albums ever.
Compared
What follows are the current Amazon-Verkäufe series for some more famous 90's albums:
Metallica - the black album (# 642)
Nirvana - Nevermind (# 782)
Radiohead - OK computer (# 1257)
Radiohead - the bends (# 1586)
Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese dream (# 2678)
Pearl Jam - ten (# 2741)
NIN - downward spiral (# 3045)
REM - out of time (# 4256)
Beck - Odelay (# 4275)
Oasis-(was_ist_die_Geschichte) morning glory (# 5645)
Wu-Tang clan - the Wu-Tang clan (# 6787) enter
These rankings are not entirely correct, some albums sales really there are several versions of the album is divided. Morning glory has # 5645 and then another place such as a version to the # 6146.
