Long view: Yeasayer @ Music Hall of Williamsburg, Brooklyn 2/9/10

I am pleased, the first of many write-ups here at LMB by our friend introduce Wesley Hodges. In his first column preview he newly published Baeblemusic.com video with a complete Yeasayer set from earlier this year in Brooklyn. -Jdub

Admittedly, burned out I kind of odd blood months, after a couple of weeks constant speed and it first on a par with the band debut to announce all hour cymbals. Well, I had time to fully digest and take a step back can I view the band second LP for what it is. One of the best records of the last decade was all hour cymbals and odd blood is a beautiful contrast and in addition to the band live Canon, be showing live a fuller sound and abolishing a most of Grooviness giving their early live sound in favor of more dance-oriented show stamped. My opinion is a very strong effort, but all hour cymbals. However, see the opener (and strongest song odd blood) "Madder Red" jars me right back to the giddy height of excitement for the new material and last year's Hymn-like stomp clap "Tightrope" is a nice follow up.Yeasayer is in a small number of three new-ish bands, that have my full attention for the duration of their career (along with Delta spirit and Dr. dog-barring some sort of Kings of Leon foray setting in arena rock uniformity) and this video only risen are my need to catch the band while traveling on the new material (you skipped Detroit twice in the past year in route to Austin, something touring unfortunately much to do bands) .these of guys are gonna be around for a long time, so check out your fall tour dates, and go to see while playing smaller venues.

It is also great to see yet do singer Chris Keating his signature-hand-gyrating move.
